There are almost no hotels or resorts near Mkokotoni, one of Zanzibar's liveliest fishing ports and the gateway to the famed and mysterious island of Tumbatu, known for its local healers, This 5+ Acre plot is a lovely meadow graced with many trees and a wonderful view of the sea. The white sand beach in front of the plot has smooth sand under the water--great for swimming--and it's popular with local fishermen so you will never have to worry about finding provisions for supper! Needless to say it would be a great spot for a fishing-oriented lodge. You wouldn't be the first one to fall in love with this area. There's a centuries-old Portuguese fort just down the way and ancient Chinese coins, left by 13th Century Arab traders, have been found nearby.

Beach: Lovely white sand beach, great for swimming and a good spot for launching boats. There's a small slope down to the water line and a light fringe of lovely old trees.
Land: This is a meadow-like plot with many graceful palms shady mango and native trees. The small rise from the beach provides great unobstructed views. There's a half-finished block house on the property which could be removed or put to good use as a headquarters for a construction project.
Water/Electricity: Electricity is approximately 100 m or so from the property line. Water is available nearby or you can dig your own well.
Road: About paved 40km from Stone Town. Great access from the highway on less than 1 km good dirt road.
Vicinity: North of Mkokotoni, facing the west coast on the north of the island.
Other: The plot has been surveyed and has a clear title.
